Childcare Workers Needed!

Locations: Manchester, CT

Hours: Saturdays from 9:00am-1:00pm, Fall 2016. Session is 8 weeks long, volunteers are needed for one or more week commitments.

Depending on your role, your tasks may include:
* Work with lead teacher to supervise activities
* Identify children who show signs of emotional, developmental or health-related problems, and discuss them with head teacher, children's coordinator or workshop coordinator
* Assist in the set-up and take-down of classes
* Interact with families

Impact: By serving with this volunteer opportunity, you will be helping young children become socially, emotionally and academically prepared for kindergarten by collaboratively increasing the scope, quality and impact of local family-based programs and services.

In order to volunteer you should be:
* A registered Urban Alliance volunteer (you will have the chance to if you haven't already)
* 14 years or older
* Willing to attend an orientation prior to volunteering
* Open to an ongoing volunteer commitment that works with your schedule
* Willing to comply with BHF children's program of service and policies for child safety
* Willing to interact with others
* Responsible, friendly and organized
* Patient and honest
* Able to work well with a small team under the direction of the head classroom teacher

A background check will be required to be placed with this volunteer opportunity.
