About

Arts Mid-Hudson seeks an exhibit curator/installation volunteer.

This is an opportunity to plan and mount exhibits in many pop-up spaces around Poughkeepsie, NY, and would include working from existing artist directories to select artworks for exhibit, meeting the artists and arranging for delivery of artworks, exhibition installation, (hanging of artworks), and all gallery collateral materials, such as exhibit signage, and pamphlets for the exhibit. Most of the exhibits are for two months and some include openings, artist interviews or other benefits. The exhibit curator can build a portfolio of exhibits, while assisting with an important service to artists and the community to provide exposure for the many artists that live and work in the Hudson Valley area.

Additional opportunity to curate two-month exhibits in the Arts Mid-Hudson gallery space, a 400 square foot professionally lighted space at the Arts Mid-Hudson offices.

Must live within 30 miles of Poughkeepsie.
