The Volunteer Services Department exists as a rerource to Red Cross lines of service and oversees "The Volunteer Experience". Volunteers in this position will work closely with other members of the Volunteer Services Team, effectively developing skills in human resources and administrative management within the ARC's online volunteer management system, Volunteer Connection. Assist and increase the American Red Cross' volunteer support through the recruitment and screening of new volunteers, coaching and training to promote positive workforce relationships and career devolpment, and the enhancement of volunteer engagement practices.
There are several different volunteer opportunities open within the Volunteer Services Department.
TIME COMMITMENT
- 2-5 hours per week, depending on volunteer position
- Orientation to the American Red Cross
- On-the-job training with other members of the Volunteer Services Team
- Classes through our online Education Management Base, EMBARC
