Volunteers needed for Black Fret - Please Announce
What: Black Fret Volunteer Casting Call When: Wednesday, September 14th @ 7:30pm Sunday, October 16th @ 2pm, 4pm, 6pm Why: Black Fret is a public charity built upon the simple principle that Austin's local music, like the symphony or the opera, is worthy of public support. Ourmission is focused solely on nurturing the creation and performance of new music by the fine musicians who call our amazing city home. In the last two years Black Fret has awarded $280,000 in grants and held more than fifty events. We are looking to add a select group of highly qualified volunteers to help with event production and services, post production, graphic and website design. Mission Statement
Black Fret is a 501c(3) public charity that is built upon the simple principle that our local music, like the symphony and the opera, is worthy of the community’s support. We thank the hundreds of Austinites who have joined Black Fret, nominated the bands they love, experienced intimate private events throughout the year and ultimately voted to select the nominees who received a Black Fret grant. Through their generous patronage Black Fret has been able to award $280,000 in grants in just two years.
Description
Our mission is focused solely on nurturing the creation and performance of new music by the fine musicians who call our amazing city home.
In the last two years Black Fret has awarded $280,000 in grants and held more than fifty events.
We are looking to add a select and diverse group of highly qualified volunteers to help with live music event production and hospitality services, post production support as well as internships in graphic and website design, archival film and editing.
