Our 2016-17 Full Life Care AmeriCorps team is seeking dedicated national service volunteers to serve at our community partner, Sound Generations.
Service Term is October 1, 2016-August 15, 2017
We are currently looking for the following position at Sound Generations-
Volunteer Transportation- Community Engagement Specialist: Recruit volunteer drivers in specific high-need communities of King County, including refugee and immigrant communities. The member will also arrange presentations and build relationships with communities to increase service capacity and breakdown barriers of access and utilization.
Volunteer Transportation is a program of Sound Generations, a non-profit serving seniors and people with disabilities.
1 position based in Belltown, Seattle.
REQUIREMENTS:
*At least 18 years of age
*U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or lawful Permanent Resident
*Must clear National Service Criminal History Checks
*Willingness to commit to 10.5 month service term, 40 hours/week
*Prefer Bachelor's Degree or some college.
*Prefer experience working with older adults, adults with disabilities, and/or healthcare issues.

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
