ORGANIZATION: THE SALVATION ARMY

  • 13 people are interested

The Salvation Army of Venice will be participating in a national program entitled Cooking Matters, in which adults learn ways to provide good nutrition for their families and how to manage a food budget. It's a great program where participants take a tour of the grocery store, do some cooking with their class at The Salvation Army, and even receive a gift card from Publix. Online training (pretty short) is provided. The proram is run by The Salvation Army's Community Center Director.
If you have cooked for your family or have a background in home economics and budgeting or just an interest in helping families become better nourished on a budget, we need you!
Thank you, as always, for what you do for our community!
