Once a month we partner with Martha's Table to set up a food market for children and families of Moten Elementary School.

Volunteers help in the following ways:

  • Assist in etting up market
  • Be a warm and friendly face that greets those who visit the market
  • Manage the sign in table
  • Help distribute and restock food
  • Help families carry groceries outside
  • Assist with clean up and packing left over food
TRANSPORTATION: There is plenty of parking in the school parking let, which is located right behind the school. The nearest metro rail is Anacostia Metro Station, although it is a 6 minute bus (the W3 bus) ride from the station to the school ATTIRE: We suggest wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
