Some of the Kids in our Program

CCH’s Afterschool Enrichment Program is a program that helps support students from grades K - 6th. The majority of these students come from homes where English is not the first language spoken, and as a result parents often do not understand English sufficiently to help them with their homework and other academic activities. Through the program we hope to develop responsible youths for the community, and help foster the skills necessary for them to succeed in school, participate in extra-curricular activities, and increase their chances to attend a college or university. Since we are a non-profit, we ask for the help of those in our community to achieve this goal.
We need volunteers/mentors to donate their time to help these students. The program is held Monday through Friday (school calendar) from 3:00PM to 5:30Pm in Oyster Bay. We are also looking for volunteers to help tutor the 7th-12th grade ESL students in our program that could use the extra study time and regents prep. That would take place in our office in Oyster Bay and could be done any weekday after 6pm. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT LOOKING TO VOLUNTEER!
