The Hayward shoreline is a vital part of San Francisco Bay’s ecosystem, and Restoration Rangers is a community service and citizen science program that promotes education and stewardship of the salt marsh. Learn about the incredible flora and fauna of the shoreline and "pull together" to remove invasive plants from the marsh. Bring gloves or borrow some of ours. Ages 12 and older. Registration required. Free.

Perched on stilts above a salt marsh, the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center is your introduction to the ecology of the San Francisco Bay-Estuary. The Interpretive Center features exhibits, programs and activities designed to inspire a sense of appreciation, respect and stewardship for the Bay, its inhabitants and the services they provide.
