Kicking off National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, ACT has partnered with the Pediatric Dentistry of Fort Myers, Apothicare 360, and Erickson’s Drying Systems to present the 2nd Annual Snow Day event on Saturday, October 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The fundraiser takes place at the Pediatric Dentistry of Fort Myers’ office, 8016 Summerlin Lakes Dr, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Family-friendly activities such as bounce houses, a blizzard tent and snowball fun, mascots from the Fort Myers Miracle and Florida Everblades, as well as giveaways, entertainment, and snow special effects are all on tap. Volunteers are needed for a variety of activities, such as event set up, clean up, raffle ticket sales, event greeters, silent auction facilitators, parking greeters, and clean up crew. Each shift is 3 hours, but you can sign up for as many shifts as you are able to help us with. Those interested can sign up online by visiting https://www.volunteersignup.org/J4WCH.

Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc. (ACT) is a private, not-for-profit agency committed to serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. The agency provides the following services: emergency protective shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, one-on-one counseling, advocacy, support groups, rape crisis center, outreach counseling, batterer’s intervention groups, children’s program, community and professional education and awareness, and information and referrals to those seeking assistance in other matters.
