The 8th Annual Del Mar Mud Run is taking place on Saturday, 5/13. This mud-filled course will have 15 obstacles for participants to conquer. Proceeds benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation and Operation Rebound. To find out more about CAF, visit www.challengedathletes.org.
Volunteers might be assigned to obstacle support, check-in/packet pick up, water stations, chip timing, bag check, and general participant motivation. All volunteers will receive an event t-shirt, acknowledgement of community service, snacks & water, and the opportunity to run the race at a discounted rate or FREE (if you work 2 volunteer shifts).
There are four different shift options for volunteers.
Friday, 5/12
Packet Pick Up (Road Runner Sports, Mira Mesa)
Shift #1: 11:00am-4:00pm
Shift #2: 3:00pm-8:00pm
All Day Shift: 11:00am-8:00pm (counts as 2 shifts)
Saturday, 5/13
Event Day (Del Mar Fairgrounds)
Shift #1: 6:00am-12:00pm
Shift #2: 11:00am-4:00pm

At VAVi our main goal is to bring fun to life in everything we get involved with, whether it be a league, a party, or something new. As a result, we have developed The VAVi Experience, a concept that encourages anybody who is associated with VAVi (referees, customers, volunteers, partners, ourselves) to create as much fun and excitement as possible at our events within the rules. We therefore challenge you to create innovative ways (e.g. team costumes, crazy signs, etc.) to make any event more fun, thereby bringing The VAVi Experience to life. In the end, we just want everyone to have a great time and in order for that to happen, we need you to be involved.
