Butterfly Dreams is non-profit that provides events and pageants for individuals who are "Differently-abled". Our male and femaile participants ages 4 and up have intellectual disabilities ranging from Down syndrome to low functioning autism.
This position requires someone to recruit and oversee volunteers for our events in Southeast Illinois. Receive their sign up info, place them in appropriate positions, communicate about dates and times of event, run background checks, check them in and supervise at the events.
We have a monthly meeting that will not run longer than 30 mins. Two months before the main event they will be every two weeks and then every week during the month of the event. We ask that you try to attend either in person or by video/phone. The volunteer will be trained by our chair over volunteers, and given an organization email address and t-shirt.
Our events recruit about 30-40 volunteers. All paperwork is digital and we use Google G-Suite for non profits.
We ask that you have a phone with text abilities, a computer and printer, and basic knowledge of working in documents spreadsheets and email.
