Since 2015, Animal House Project's Rescue Food Program has donated out over 300,000 + lbs of dry food to grass roots 501 (c) 3 rescues and shelters. We accepted the challenge and that food was donated out to over 625 organizations from Massachusetts down to Georgia.
Fast forward to today, the program has been so successful, that we are partnering with Rescue Bank to continue the additional mission statement of helping distribute Manufacturer's donated food to groups that are experience a high rate of animal intake as weell as veterinary bills. Their funds are stretched to the limit and the capacity of surrenders is at an all time high.
Animal House Project needs help from volunteers that have rescue experience as we are responsible to vet the organizations; send and receive paperwork and insure that the food received is churned out very quickly.
All of the recipient rescues that have received food from us have been extremely grateful that we were able to offer such a much needed program.

Description
Did You Know?
Of the many millions of dogs and cats surrendered to shelters or abandoned each year in the United States, approximately one million surrenders/abandonments were due to the owners financial inability to provide for the basic needs of their pets; pet food and veterinary care.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if you had to surrender your family pet(s) to a shelter simply because you could not afford to feed or provide basic veterinary care for them?
*Approximately 50% of pets surrendered to shelters never find a new home, and sadly, are euthanized.*
Our demographics - Who do we help?
Returning military veterans and their families; retired military veterans and seniors who are living on a fixed income; domestic violence families; medically stressed families - Cancer; Parkinson; ALS; MS and families that are still struggling from the recent COVID-19 Pandemic. We cut across all sectors of the populations and the need seems to be increasing not decreasing in people needing our help.
