About

This opportunity is available every Saturday and Sunday!

Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is a nonprofit food rescue organization dedicated to reducing food waste and getting food to those in need. We are currently looking to bring on Lead Rescuers to our leadership team. A lead rescuer is a passionate and dedicated volunteer who commits to leading one event, once per week. Training is provided.

Help rescue bread, pastries, and other delicious food that would otherwise have been thrown out and help feed the hungry of NYC! You will pick up leftover food from two food vendors in a popular Midtown food court and deliver it to a nearby homeless shelter. This event lasts just 20 minutes, and will end at Antonio Olivieri Drop-In Center.

Mediumweight: the average amount of food is a total of 30 lbs.
