Exciting Internship Opportunity!

The Women’s Building is a women-led community space that advocates self-determination, gender equality and social justice.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate day-to-day CRR operations on Tuesday 1-5pm, Wednesdays 3-7pm, and Thursday 1-5pm or Monday 1-5pm, Wednesdays 10-2pm and Fridays 1-5pm

  • Provide support to all program coordinators and volunteers

  • Maintain the Community Resource Room as a welcoming place to people of diverse backgrounds

  • Assist CRR visitors in Spanish and English both for Information & Referrals and in computer lab

  • Check and respond to CRR email and phone calls and forward messages to appropriate staff

  • Participate on the advocacy efforts of the organization, in particular the issue of displacement in the our immediate neighborhood and unaccompanied minor children


  • Some Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School degree required

  • Fluency in Spanish and English required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills

  • Ability to work both independently and commitment to working as part of a team

  • Cultural competence in working with diverse populations and commitment to social justice.

  • Computer Fluency (Microsoft Word and basic Excel)

  • Punctual, reliable and detailed orientated

Rate of pay: This is a 12 hour/week internship with a $500 stipend for 3 months.
