BACKGROUND
The 117,464-acre Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1985 for the benefit of the endangered masked bobwhiteq quail. For many years, volunteers and staff have been working to remove old barbed-wire fences from with in the boundaries of the refuge; fences left over from pre-refuge days. SIA will be helping to continue this important work meant to allow wildlife to more easily traverse the refuge landscape.
