Give kids and their families who are living in low-income housing the gift of community and connection, and enjoy the satisfaction of encouraging healthy interactions and strengthening bonds. Enhance our monthly Community Night by assisting with activities for children of all ages and engaging parents with your language and/or cultural skills with many families from African, Latino, and/or Pacific Island communities.

Experience the satisfaction of building community with parents and seeing children thrive when their parents feel connected and supported by the community around them. Gain valuable experience and networking in social services and learn about VOA's innovative work to keep kids on track for success in school and life.

We provide an effective drug and alcohol prevention program that brings youth and adults in the community together through positive and healthy interactions. Our program builds family and community support by providing fun and healthy activities that encourage a healthy living environment. Your participation is vital to engaging parents in opportunities to build relationships with neighbors during our monthly community nights.

  • Bi-cultural and bi-lingual encouraged! Comfortable mingling and meeting new people.
