Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in San Jose! The American Cancer Society relies on our volunteers to help create a fantastic and safe experience for our event participants and to support the fight against breast cancer. By giving your time, you are helping save lives and create more birthdays.

One of our most needed areas! Setup Crew provides logistics support for the event by delivering signage along the route. You will help set up the cones and delineators that will keep our walkers safe. We need active volunteers able to carry and lift. Route Shifts 1-3: You will be one of the many volunteers spread out over our 3-mile route to help cheer and encourage walkers and ensure their safety from traffic. We are looking for active volunteers who can lift, move cones & delineators, and be able to stay standing throughout their shift. Some volunteers will be monitoring the intersections by directing walkers through the route, while others will be posted at key locations along the route providing encouragement and assistance to Strides walkers. Note that you will be walking or standing during the duration of your shift.
