DRNCnfp (DuPage Residents Networking for Change - Not For Profit) is currently recruiting diverse board members for our nonprofit organization addressing issues on poverty and homelessness.
Individuals or corporations seeking to engage their employees in service through a nonprofit are invited to apply. The ideal candidate will support our mission of voluntarism and philanthropy and possess the following qualifications:
* A resident or employee in DuPage County
* A belief in nonprofit board service as a critical element of social responsibility
* A personal reputation as a committed and inspired proponent of service
* A strong understanding of how nonprofit board service supports community engagement and philanthropic investments
* Leverage support of personal relationships with same interests and willingness to share resources to promote programs and activities of the organization
* Knowledge and application of governance of a nonprofit board
* Attend three board meetings a year, review board materials in advance of meetings and come prepared to ask questions and participate in discussions
* Play an active role in securing financial resources necessary for achieving mission and goals
* Make a direct investment by making personal financial contribution annually
* Serve on a committee
* Represent the organization to respective communities promote its mission, programs and services as appropriate.

To organize and support community activities that will have a positive impact in the areas of poverty, homelessness and literacy by networking and partnering with other DuPage County non-profit organizations.
Description
DRNCnfp is a non-partisan DuPage County Community Organizing and Volunteer Service Group. Volunteers serve as members of our DRNC Team to provide support for food pantries, overnight homeless sights, special event chairty fund raisers and committees for scholarships and early childhood literacy.
