Cornerstone Assistance Network wants to place a Organizational Development VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) member at the Graduate Gateway in Carrollton ( www.graduategateway.org).

Pay: $990 per month BEFORE taxes

Graduate Gateway (formerly called the Amvensys Foundation) was founded in 2011 to alleviate poverty and homelessness through education. In an age of a fragile economy and heightened risks of poverty and homelessness, Graduate Gateway focuses its efforts and funding on education for disadvantaged youth so that they can sustain good lives through good jobs.

The Organizational Development Associate will focus primarily on stabilizing and expanding Graduate Gateway's fundraising programs to build Graduate Gateway's capacity. The VISTA will be responsible for assisting the board in choosing a comprehensive relationship management system, researching and presenting new funding sources, and applying for that funding where appropriate. Additionally, the VISTA will coordinate Graduate Gateway’s monthly giving program and work to present new and innovative fundraising events. The funds raised by the VISTA will allow Graduate Gateway to expand its programming and positively impact more individuals living in poverty. In addition to fundraising responsibilities, this VISTA will also work to create and fund a paid internship program for college students who have struggled with poverty and/or homelessness and a Community Advisory Group which will meet quarterly and provide feedback and suggestions on the operation of Graduate Gateway.

Benefits:

  • Health Coverage
  • Choice of $5,730 Education Award or $1,500 Cash Stipend at the End of Service Year
  • Relocation Allowance if eligible
  • Childcare assistance if eligible
  • Monthly Living Allowance
