Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Columbus Metropolitan Library

Help needed for the super busy storytimes at our Hilliard branch.

Storytimes can be pure magic for our young customers. Our Hilliard branch is looking for daytime volunteers to help us with our storytimes. As a volunteer you will:

  • Greet customers
  • Count attendees
  • Distribute handouts
  • Stamp the hands of future readers with the letter of the week
  • Encourage activity with kids and parents for the pre-storytime activities and writing activities
  • Assist with crowd control

If you have daytime availability and love working with children, this could be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! These programs are held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 to 11:15 a.m. You can work one day or all three.

This volunteer position helps make magic for kids, and happiness for our grateful staff.

This role requires physical flexibility. Volunteers must be able to kneel, bend and be able to stand for extended periods of time.
