Have you always dreamed of running a farm sanctuary?
The best way to get there is to learn from the ground up by volunteering! We are seeking committed and compassionate volunteers to become weekday animal caretakers at the sanctuary. We will teach you all the basics- how to trim hooves, administer medication, proper nutrition for a variety of species and so much more. For an added bonus you will have the opportunity to bond with all of the 200+ amazing individuals who call LFS home. All we ask is for you to be able to commit to 3-5 hours a week. Sound like a dream? Send us an email today!

Mission Statement
Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and, when appropriate, rehoming of abused and neglected farmed animals. As the largest farm animal rescue in Oregon, we are home to over 250 animals including pigs, cows, horses, chickens, sheep, and goats. Through facilitating meaningful relationships between people and the animals we care for, we aim to help shine a light on the realities of animal agriculture and lead the way to a more compassionate world.
Description
At Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary we rescue abused and neglected farm animals from all over the state of Oregon. We are a non-profit, volunteer-lead organization which runs and operates solely on the financial gifts of our community donors. We currently house over 150 farm animals, including pigs, cows, goats, sheep and chickens, all living in unison. Volunteer tasks include animal care such as cleaning, feeding, and watering, along with administrative and educational tasks.
