The American Diabetes Association Street Team will help to promote for our upcoming signature fundraising event, the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes!
The 2016 fundraising goal for the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes in Jacksonville is $425,000! Monies raised will help fund research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes; deliver services to hundreds of communities; provide objective and credible information; and give a voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.
YOU can help us meet our goal by promoting the Step Out: Walk in the community!
Volunteers will meet at our offices to gather materials and hear details about the day. Duties will consist of visiting local businesses and distributing posters and brochures to promote the event.
Volunteer groups are perfect for this type of opportunity!
You can volunteer for as many or as few hours as you would like from September - October. Volunteer hour confirmation letters will be provided.

Description
We are located in the Jacksonville area but serve all of North Florida/South Georgia.
We are here not only to raise greatly needed funds to find a cure for diabetes but to educate the over 100,000 in our community with diabetes and to create awareness for the 25,000+ people in North Florida who have diabetes and do not know it.
We do so through our special events and programs held throughout the year.
