Teen Leaders is a service learning corp based out of the White Plains YMCA. The purpose of Teen Leaders is to give youth the opportunity to learn the skills needed to be a leader in their community. Meeting weekly on Wednesday, participants in the program participate in leadership and team building exercises along with their peers. Service is also a big part of the Teen Leaders program, with service being required to participate in the program. Leaders can volunteer on their own or participate in organized group volunteer opportunities such as conducting material drives, working at special events or serving at other nonprofit programs. Teen Leaders programs can be found at several of our locations, including White Plains, Somers and Putnam Valley.
