Girl Scouts of Western Ohio needs Assistant Troop Leaders for a Staff-Led Troop for girls in grades k - 5 at Greenmont Elementary School. The troop will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month beginning in September and ending in May. Responsibilities for this position include helping girls with arts and crafts, assiting with the supervison of girls on field trips, and provding transportation for girls for events (this is optional, we can take volunteers who do not desire to drive). In addition, volunteers can be involved in set-up and clean-up and providing positive role modeling to young girls.

Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
