Principal Objectives

• Build organizational capacity in the Regions - financial, human resources, processes, etc.

• Maintain a close connection between HQ and the Regions through ongoing, routine communications

• Advocate for Regional issues and concerns in HQ; tap HQ resources to support build-out of Regional Organizations

Key Deliverables

• Strong connectivity and alignment between HQ and Regions/Divisions

• Early HQ awareness of emergent opportunities and challenges in the field

• Rapid HQ response to issues and challenges experienced in the field

• Growing organizational capacity in the regions; movement towards strong Regional organizations

Essential Competencies

• Communication: ability to establish rapport and build strong relationships and open, clear communication

• Org. Development: ability to build organizational capacity - financial, human, and process

• Collaboration: ability to work easily with the HQ team to address regional challenges and opportunities

• Financial Acumen: ability to work with the Regions to effectively manager their finances - build revenues, control expenses, advise on strategic investments

Time Commitment

• 2-3 days per week - calls, emails

• Periodic trips within US to visit Regional leadership

Compensation

• Initially pro-bono. Eligible for stipend and employment (with available funding).

Desired Qualifications

• 5-10 years in an operational or field leadership role in a medium to large organization (i.e. corporate experience)

• Experience with entrepreneurs and/or commercialization

• Passion for CTO’s Mission

• Located in the Bay Area (preferred)
