Greetings future Student Interns,
I would like to invite related field students to intern with our Hospice Organization located in Glendora. If you are in the following field this would be be best for you, however all qualified candidates are welcome.
Medical, Healthcare, Psychology, Counseling, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Marketing, Nursing, Medical Assistant
This will be a 5 month commitment. You will be involved in office administrative activities and long with direct patient care visitation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Enrolled in school in related field
-TB results and Flu Vaccination (if you are selected for the position we will provide the medical screening for you)
-Must commit to 5 months, 2 days a week (may include weekends) for 4-8 hours a day. (May vary depending on amount of workload)
-Positive attitude, compassion and great communication skills

Hospice Volunteer Training is a program where we select qualified persons who can fit well with patients who have a terminal illness through several organizations. We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.
Description
Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
