ORGANIZATION: The FitWit Foundation

  • 1 person is interested

The FitWit Foundation provides free fitness programs that build strength and develop character in the young people who need it most. We have a newly written volunteer handbook and set of daily lesson plans we provide our volunteer Coaches and Mentors with, but are in need of having someone who is detail oriented, organized, and proficient at writing to edit the materials - making sure the words are correct, plans are consistent, and material is organized. Volunteer may choose to do just the handbook and/or the lesson plans. This can be done virtually.

Please email: megan@fitwit.com if you have any questions and/or are intersted in helping us expand our mission of empowering youth through fitness.

Mission Statement

The FitWit Foundation envisions a a future where young people belong to a community, dedicated to fitness; that empowers them to believe in themselves and strive for success every day.

Description

The FitWit Foundation provides free fitness programs that build strength and develop character for the young people who need it most. We do this through our flaship program, FitWit Club. FitWit Club, is a school club run in middle and high schools that invites students on a year long journey to strengthen their minds, bodies, and communities. We believe that all youth deserve the opportunity to reach their highest potential. While decreasing obesity and improving fitness are important to us, our primary aim lies in using fitness as the vehicle to empower children to believe in themselves and strive for success every day.
