Bring bikes and wagons to tour around the 18-acre farm. BYO picnic; we’ll provide free lemonade. The AgPark is located in the beautiful Sunol Valley, near the intersection of Hwy 680 and Hwy 84.

We are looking for volunteers to help with setup and activities for the event!

Volunteer opportunities are open to middle and high schoolers, and adults. We especially need adult volunteer help as well to assist with event and site management.

Please let us know your age if you are interested in volunteering.

We need volunteers to help with a variety of tasks: assisting farmers and partners with farm/environmental related family activties and crafts, helping direct cars into parking spots, setting up signs and the site before the event, site breakdown and clean-up afterwards, and other as-needed site and event related tasks.

We also need help with outreach and promotion of the event beforehand, such as: hanging up posters and leaving postcards around local businesses in the Tri-Valley area.

Spend some time out on the farm and help make this Festival an awesome experience for families and friends all throughout the Bay Area.

Mission Statement

Sustainable Agriculture Education (SAGE) cultivates urban-edge places where farming and local food culture can thrive and be celebrated.

Description

SAGE regenerates agricultural places that define and sustain cities in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Founded in 2001, SAGE is a lean, entrepreneurial organization that convenes partners to collaborate on innovative projects, including public agencies, farmers, educators, conservationists, health experts, economists, planners, public-interest organizations, and community groups in urban and rural areas.

SAGE cultivates urban-edge places, such as the Sunol AgPark and the 7,400 acre Coyote Valley.

SAGE broadens the community of supporters for sustainable agriculture, through education and outreach, agri-tourism engagement and bolstering markets for local food.

SAGE provides expertise, resources, tools and convening opportunities, such as providing technical assistance to beginning farmers, and disseminating tools, frameworks and best practices.
