ORGANIZATION: Jumpstart Southern California

Jumpstart is national early education organization working toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. Jumpstart partners college students with preschoolers from under-resourced communities to provide literacy and language skills-building for an entire school year.

On October 20, 2016 we will be holding a fundraising event in support of our young learners. On the rooftop of the luxurious The London West Hollywood hotel, the night will bring together Jumpstart’s Southern California advocates and local leaders and underscore the importance of early learning.

We are seeking someone who can coach and guide our student speaker. We estimate two or more coaching sessions either at our office, your studio, or their college campus over the course of the three weeks prior to the event. If schedule allows you will be welcome to join us for the speaker selection process and you will be invited to attend the event as our guest. Jumpstart will also publically acknowledge your support during the event and afterwards using social media.

About Jumpstart Southern California

Location:

Mission Statement

Jumpstart is working toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed.

Description

Each year, one third of America's children arrive on their first day of school without the skills necessary to succeed at grade level. When children begin behind their peers, catching up, especially without additional assistance, is difficult and unlikely. By focusing on enriching the education of preschool students from disadvantaged communities, Jumpstart is making sure every child has a chance at success. Jumpstart is a national nonprofit dedicated to inspiring children to learn, adults to teach, families to get involved, and communities to progress together.
