This is our peak recruitment time before new internationals arrive for the Fall Academic Term.
Meet one-on-one with an international student, spouse, scholar or post-doc to assist in conversational English skills, learning about life in the USA and the local community. Share culture. Meetings are one hour per week but you can work the schedule to yours. There are no lesson plans, you respond to the individual needs of the student. We prefer volunteers who can drive. You will have an in-person interview with the program chair prior to being assigned a student. CCIS has been part of the Stanford community for 64 years and most of our volunteers have been assisting students for 10+ years. Many lifelong friendships have come from these connections. Please join us!
