Plymouth Healing Communities is seeking a Grant Coordination Intern. The Grant Coordination Intern will closely work with the Executive Director to research, write and administer private, corporate and foundational grants.

Essential Functions:

  • Grant Research
    • Work closely with the Executive Director to understand unfunded programming needs
    • Research and identify possible grant opportunities that are in alignment with Plymouth Healing Communities’ programs, mission, goals and strategic plan
    • Research and compile relevant statistical data to support program needs
    • Gather up-to-date information on federal, state, and local trends and issues that affect those affected by mental illness and homelessness
    • Initiate contact with foundations that support homelessness and mental illness in the Seattle and Pacific Northwest area
  • Grant Support
    • Draft letters of intent and proposals for identified grants
    • Write and compile materials for grant applications in compliance with funder requirements
    • Assist with proofreading and editing of final grant documents
  • Grant Administration
    • Create an annual schedule of grant deadlines
    • Monitor and update grant timelines
    • Update SalesForce donor database with funder contact and other pertinent information
    • Scan documents and file appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Be passionate about the mission of Plymouth Healing Communities
  • Excellent communication, writing and proofreading skills
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to prioritize projects and assignments and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional organization skills and outstanding attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Proficiency with internet research
  • Ability to learn SalesForce
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team

Mission Statement

Plymouth Healing Communities works to break the cycle of hospitalization for mental health and homelessness by providing supportive small-scale transitional and permanent housing in Seattle.

Description

We have a transitional home (house of healing) where people recently released from inpatient care can land for a safe and nonlinear support structure. We also have 6 other small permanent housing located throughout Seattle to give people access to all the benefits of living in areas such as Ballard and Beacon Hill. We rely heavily on our Companions, our main nonlinear, supportive program for residents, to provide the key ingredients in restoring a sense of belonging for residents in all of our housing!
