The 2017 Inaugural LLS Miami Firefighter Stairclimb, will be the first event of its kind in Southeast United States to support the mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), raising money through sponsorships, individual donations and organizational fundraising.

We are looking for volunteers to help reach out to local Fire Departments, work in our office and help day of the event.


Office Work : Computer/data entry, Telephone Mailings.

Events: Set-up/break down Registration, Material distribution

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.

Description

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's South Florida and Puerto Rico Region was founded in 1972 to serve residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The region serves Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, Palm Beach, Highlands, Indian River, Marin, Okeechobee and Saint Lucie counties in Florida and Puerto Rico.
