Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We are on target to grant 380 wishes this year for children in our community!

We are in need of many volunteers for the 11th annual Pitchin For Wishes Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, September 15th at Freedom park in Charlotte, NC! This event is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. This cornhole tournament is one of the largest in the world - it has actually held the World Record in recent years! It's an amazing day of fundraising, community fun, delicious food, and of course, a ton of cornhole! There are two volunteer shifts available:

10 am - 4pm Event Volunteering/Score Keeping

2:00 pm - 4:30 pm Breakdown Crew

Volunteers must be able to work the full shift- no split shifts will be allowed. Most volunteer roles do require long periods of standing and this event will occur in rain or shine. Score keeping training with be provided at 10am and the first bag will be tossed at 11am. Free lunch is provided for all volunteers! If you would like to join us, please feel free to also include your friends and family members too! The only requirements are that you (and they) be 18+ and can work for the full shift you sign up for.
