Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center, TEL HI, invites you to connect with our special community by volunteering your time in one of our programs, helping out with events, or supporting our adminstrative office. If you have a special talent you would like to share, please let us know!
Current opportunities:
- Tutor in our after school programs (K - 5th grade, Francisco Middle School Beacon, Teen Center or Galileo Academy of Science and Technology Futurama Program)
- Become a preschool teachers' aide
- Serve meals in our senior lunch program
- Lead a class or workshop for our seniors (arts, crafts, basic computer skills)
- Help with garden upkeep
- Teach gardening to our preschool and after school children
- Provide support in our administrative office
- Help with one-time fundraising and community events
By volunteering at Tel-Hi you not only help strengthen TEL HI's programs, you also gain many benefits yourself. Volunteering can help you:

Focusing on children, youth, families and seniors, we create and strengthen community bonds, provide health and wellness programs, and broaden education and cultural experiences.
Description
Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center (TEL HI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of the people in our community. Our programs focus on meeting the needs of a culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse community with services that promote stability for families, build skills and self-worth for toddlers and youth that are crucial to success in life, and provide support for seniors to ensure they remain vital and independent as they age.
