About MJHS Hospice and Palliative Care
39 Broadway, Suite 200, New York, NY 10006, US
MJHS Hospice is committed to the highest standard of quality care and seeks to be the premier provider of health services ensuring access to health and support to the greater New York City area.
MJHS has one of the largest and most respected not-for-profit hospice programs in the region, offering hospice patients care when and where they need it: at home, in assisted living communities, nursing homes and hospitals across Greater New York. MJHS helps adult and pediatric patients and their families live life to the fullest when dealing with a life-limiting illness by easing suffering, upholding dignity, affirming values and improving quality of life. As a charitable not-for-profit, MJHS is committed to delivering compassionate expert care, offering peace of mind and providing comfort. For more information, visit www.mjhshospice.org or call (212) 649-5555.
MJHS was founded in 1907 by The Four Brooklyn Ladies, who looked into the eyes of the old and sick--people in desperate need of loving kindness--and founded the Brooklyn Ladies Hebrew Home for the Aged. With the help of charitable support, the home provided poor, elderly members of the community with quality health care and a home where they could spend their final days. From that small building among the tenements, MJHS has become one of the most expansive, charitable not-for-profit health systems in the region offering home care, pediatric and adult hospice, pediatric and adult palliative care, centers for rehabilitation and nursing care, as well as adult day health care, and health plans for Medicare, Medicaid and Dual Eligible beneficiaries (Elderplan Medicare Advantage Plans and HomeFirst MLTCP) in Greater New York. Many of the programs and services are supported, in part, by MJHS Foundation. For more information, visit www.mjhs.org , www.facebook.com/MJHS01 , www.twitter.com/MJHS01 or call 1-855-692-5058.
