Our Mission ​At Jared’s Heart of Success, our mission is to break the cycle of violence by empowering youth, especially those impacted by trauma, through mentoring, peer mediation, conflict resolution, and mental wellness support. We provide emotional support and equip individuals with restorative tools, and life skills to help them heal, grow, and lead positive change in their lives.

Description

Who We Are:

Jared’s Heart of Success is a nonprofit organization founded in honor of Jared Brown, whose life was tragically taken by gun violence in 2015. His memory lives on through our mission to educate, empower, and equip individuals with the tools they need to heal from trauma, resolve conflict peacefully, and lead meaningful change.

What We Do:

We support youth, young adults (ages 11-24), and survivors of violence through trauma-informed programs that promote healing, leadership, and nonviolence. Our services include:

  • Mentoring & Leadership Development

  • Peer Mediation & Conflict Resolution

  • Mental Wellness & Coping Skills

  • Violence Prevention Education

  • Creative Expression & Arts-Based Healing

  • Support Circles for Survivor Families

  • Workforce Readiness & Life Skills Training

Our Goals:

  • Promote peace and resilience in schools, homes, and communities

  • Equip youth and survivors with tools to navigate trauma and build healthy futures

  • Create safe spaces for healing, dialogue, and personal growth

  • Inspire leadership and civic engagement among young people
