We are building a playhouse for our volunteers' children and visitors to enjoy and encourage imaginative play in a natural setting. Cob is a natural, sustainable building material made by mixing clay, sand, and straw that will harden almost as hard as concrete.
This activity is fun for all ages and would be an excellent volunteer opportunity for corporate volunteer teams wanting to try a very unique volunteer opportunity!

Mission Statement
Our mission is to create and maintain a beautiful, productive, low maintenance, organic garden that will demonstrate gardening techniques (such as companion planting, cover crops, flowers, herbs, mulching, semi-permanent in ground beds, edible perennials, and berries), while providing an educational and community building opportunity for local residents. Produce from the garden is distributed to food pantries and low income seniors in our community.
Description
Our volunteer based community garden grows food for people in need, while providing a beautiful, serene environment for people of all ages to connect with nature, the soil, and an abundance of fresh food.
