People with sewing experience are needed for two volunteer opportunities at the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures in Hemisfair Park near downtown San Antonio.

1. Period costumes and exhibits items such as quilts are in constant need of repair and alteration. If you are available for a few hours a week between Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm we could use your expertise and skills. All materials and supplies would be provided.

2. Large artifacts in storage are in need of custom dust covers. We will provide the sewing machine, thread and material. You can come up with the pattern. Training in object handling will be provided.
