National Events Chair
We need an organized, action-oriented event coordinator who has extensive experience planning large events on small budgets, working with fearless volunteers. The National Event Chair oversees the strategy and planning of the Accelerators and Global Forum to bring together all facets of the Cleantech Open. This role needs someone dynamic who can galvanize a team of volunteers to coordinate venues, catering, programming, AV, and much more. This is a volunteer position with the potential for a stipend after a trial period.
Who we’re looking for:
Experience running large events, negotiating contracts, project managing timelines, and working with volunteers
Interest in the cleantech and green space to ensure sustainable events
Strong organization and self-discipline
Creative and inquisitive nature and passion to learn and apply something new every day
Ability to commit ~12 hours per week
What you’ll give:
In addition to helping run our National events program, you’ll:
- Work with the National Training Chair to ensure the Accelerator content and programming flow smoothly with the event logistics
- Work with the Volunteer Chairs to ensure manpower for events
- Establish strong relationships with sponsor companies for their participation in events
