ORGANIZATION: Pacific Beach Coalition

Currently the Manor/Esplanade area and Manor bluff is one of Pacifica’s locations most in need of some love! Overlooking magnificent cliffs, magical sunsets and frequent visits by ocean life invite overnight campers. Strong winds swirl litter from the Post Office and Manor shopping center. Nearby, Esplanade Beach is a natural, relatively untouched and narrow shoreline experiencing erosion below Esplanade Avenue at West Manor Drive. While Esplanade beach is no longer accessible because of erosion, the Manor Bluff is and the adjoining street and small parklet is part of the CA Coastal Trail.

Where to Meet: on the south corner of Esplanade Avenue and West Manor Drive (by the post office, across the street from Chit Chat Café)
Parking: Street parking only along Esplanade Avenue. There are no parking lots in the area. If it’s a great surfing or fishing day, you may find parking up on Palmetto Avenue (one block walk from the cleanup site).

Primary programs include:

  • Weekly cleanups, rotating through the beautiful beaches in Pacifica, Montara and Half Moon Bay on San Mateo County's coast.
  • Monthly habitat restoration.
  • Earth Day Actions & Celebration.
  • Adopt-a-Beach Program coordination.
  • Education and outreach regarding the watershed, beaches and ocean.

Something for everyone to participate in. All ages and interests.
