A Family in Nepal uses a solar cooker, 2013

Solar Cookers International (SCI) seeks an experienced photographer and videographer to help tell the story of why solar cooking is a brilliant solution for people around the world.

Join a fun team of volunteers from around the world. You can work from home or bring a laptop with editing software to our Sacramento office. An ability to attend events in Sacramento or New York is strongly preferred.

If interested, please send a link to show evidence of your past work.

Solar Cookers International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working in the international humanitarian sector, that exists to promote solar thermal as a decentralized energy solution for cooking and water pasteurization in the world’s poorest regions.

With zero emissions, solar cooking provides a practical, innovative and sustainable clean energy solution that benefits people and environments. Through field projects and advocacy at the United Nations (where SCI holds special consultative status), SCI works to promote the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, ALL of which are addressed in some degree by solar cooking. SCI connects more than 600 partners in 133 countries to address energy poverty.
