Volunteer Overview
Playworker Volunteer
Weekday 3:00pm-4:30pm
Volunteer Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide high level of enthusiastic customer service
- Model play and engage visitors in exhibits and activities
- Answer visitor questions about the Museum and seek out answers if not known
- Perform some janitorial duties
- Re-set exhibits and activities on an as-needed basis
- Provide for a suitable level of safety for visitors
- Conduct observations, surveys and record visitor data as needed
- Work collaboratively with Museum staff

Description
Volunteering at the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota is an extraordinary way to give back to your community and engage children with the power of play. We have unique opportunities for volunteers to support the Museum by assisting visitors in hands-on exhibits or by helping with behind-the-scenes activities. Volunteers help the Museum fulfill its mission by sparking a lifelong love of learning in our children and in our community.
