Open books open minds.

Open Books, Open Minds is an opportunity for members of the Twin Cities metro community to donate new and gently-used books to the over 30,000 low-income children and families we support each year through counseling, education, and advocacy. We are looking for both English and Spanish books that will benefit all ages such as touch/feel, children’s, young adult, adult (fiction and non-fiction), meditation/motivation, and how to/instruction. We could also use some specific titles recommended by our therapists.

Our mission is building strong families, vital communities, and better futures for children. Strong families are built on strong relationships and books allow parents and children to spend time together reading; vital communities flourish when its members are exposed to diverse ideas and experiences; and the foundation for better futures for children starts with learning to read, building vocabulary, and expanding the imagination.

We are always in need of books to replenish our lobbies and give to our clients and their families. We can always use them in our drop-in childcare centers as well.
