ORGANIZATION: Notre Dame At Home

  • 8 people are interested

The Notre Dame Pediatric Palliative Care Program is starting a new Namaste based program. Notre Dame Health Care has had a long standing Namaste program that focuses on the five senses and finding unique ways to tap into these senses for individuals who have medical barriers. We are looking for volunteers who would like to work with families in their homes with the focus on quality of life care by using hands on activities such as soft touch to hands and arms with oils or lotions, baking, making and using sensory toys, listening to music, looking at nature, and story/memory sharing. Volunteers should be especially interested in the idea of creating the least restrictive environment for medically fragile children and their family through individualized meaningful activities.
