CS First

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands need volunteers for its CS First program. The CS First program is a computer science (CS) program that increases student access and exposure to computer science education through after-school and summer programs. The program is directed at 4th - 8th grades and reaches young people with themes such as fashion and design, art, social media, and game design.

The CS First program is run by teachers and/or community volunteers - also known as Gurus.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands is recruiting Gurus for the Google CS First program across the Omaha-Coucil Bluffs Metropolitan Area.

No experience in computer science is necessary to host or volunteer at a CS First Club. In fact, all that is necessary are: i) a background check, ii) enthusiasm to encourage in young people a desire and interest to create with CS, and iii) a time commitment of 8 weeks.

Please apply online at: http://bgcomaha.org/volunteerform
