5K Run/Walk Crew - Finish Line, Festival, Cleanup

The Village Run/Walk 5k runners will come around the Orange Line and finish at the corner of Burbank and Fulton, then head over to LA Valley College for our Festival! Help us make their winning finish and cool-down walk memorable. Then, help us make the festival amazing!!!

CREATE FUN at the Family Festival following The Village Run/Walk along the Metro Orange Line in the Valley. The festival will be at the southwest corner of the Los Angeles Valley College campus, near the finish line.

We will need people to:

  • Help set up,
  • take down,
  • clean up,
  • crafts with kids,
  • face painting,
  • play music,
  • assist vendors,
  • assist the stage manager,
  • assist the timing team,
  • assist with medals
  • assist with goodie bags,
  • photographer needed,
  • hand out food and water,
  • and many other duties.

The Festival will start at 9:00 am and end at noon. Volunteers will be needed as early as 6:00 am and as late as 2:00 pm in this area. The location is Los Angeles Valley College, 5800 Fulton Avenue, Valley Glen, CA 91401.

The Village Run/Walk and Family Festival benefits Valley Village, where adults with developmental challenges thrive, and The Village Family Service, helping at-risk youth and families.

Valley Village has provided services for adults with developmental disabilities in the San Fernando Valley for nearly 50 years. Our mission is to protect, foster, develop and advance the rights and interests of people with developmental disabilities. We manage 18 group homes and 3 day programs across the San Fernando Valley and have a variety of programs where you can make a difference as a volunteer either at one of our sites, or on one of our community outings around Los Angeles County.
