Special Events Volunteer

Assist the Event Coordinator with various jobs and tasks as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Help plan and coordinate monthly special events
2. Create flyers and invitations as needed
3. Assist with event set-up
4. Greet and direct residents, guests and/or staff
5. Assist with event clean up and break down
6. Assist with other tasks as assigned
7. Wear volunteer name tag and log service hours in the volunteer binder.

TIME COMMITMENT

This volunteer position is needed monthly throughout the year for special events held at Saint Elizabeth Manor. Events include Staff Appreciation Day (March), Staff Recognition Dinner (July), Resident Family Day (August), Cookout (September), Holiday Party (December) and others not listed.

SUPERVISION

The Volunteer Coordinator and event organizer will supervise volunteer work.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail and highly organized

• Ability to bend, reach and lift items
• Ability to go with the flow and make adjustments as needed
• Familiar with designing flyers and invitations on the computer
• Ability to be flexible and sensitive to the needs of residents, families, caregivers and staff

• Respect diverse lifestyles, cultures, religions and values

Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with fellow staff and volunteers.
