About Us

Do you know what harmful contaminants are in your water? How it gets there? What effect it has on your families and environment? Save the Water(tm) (STW(tm)) is the one looking for answers.

STW(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water; and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.

Our volunteers are diverse professionals from all over the world bringing their knowledge and experience to STW because we care deeply about our communities and water resources. Save the Water(tm) is looking for an Associate Director of Publishing who will assist the Director of Publishing in developing procedures & documents for the organization and editing staff writer articles and YouTube Scripts, and other marketing documents.

Associate Directors are expected to put in a minimum of 10 hours per week and be responsive to emails within three (3) calendar days.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Publishing for growing non profit organization

  • Assist the Director of Publishing with management and strategy.

  • Help Director oversee department of an average of 5-15 volunteers and interns, promoting the growth of followers and visitors to the website (SEO) in order to obtain advertising sponsors and donations.

  • Attend Quarterly Operations Meetings.

  • Manage Project Leaders and Volunteers, including running weekly meetings.

  • Manage and keep operational documents current.

  • Assist in developing procedures & documents for the organization.

  • Complete the PWR audit for the Project Leaders each month


  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Initiative in assuming ownership of and accountability for mission-critical projects.

  • BA or BS degree in literature, journalism, and mass communications with strong grasp over English; business background preferred.

  • Basic understanding of WordPress

  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills

  • It will be an added advantage for the person having thorough and deep knowledge of editing, copy editing, reviewing write ups.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.

  • Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
