Handy Volunteers Needed for Repair Cafe at Hollin Hall Senior Center in Alexandria. This is a one-time event in Spring 2017 for Handymen/women to take on odd jobs and easy repair work in order to build a more sustainable community. Example: broken household items. Many skill sets needed - Menders, de-tanglers, small appliance repairs, bike repairers, electricians (lamps), watch repair, and more. Please consider this opportunity if you can lend a "handy" hand!

The Fairfax Area Agency on Aging (AAA) serves older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers in Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The goal of the AAA is to improve quality of life and promote independent living for older adults. We are a partnership of Department of Family Services, Neighborhood and Community Services and the Health Department.

Our mission is to support older adults and adults with disabilities in a variety of ways. We provide volunteer services to help people to remain in their own homes/communities and improve their quality of life.
